Adding an Avatar
An avatar is a small image that is displayed with your username on forum
posts. The image can be of yourself, or another image that you own. You
must own the image and have the right to reproduce it on the web in order
to use it as an avatar.
To add an avatar, follow the these steps:
- Login
- Navigate to "My Account"
- Click on "edit"
- Under the "Picture" section, you can browse for your picture and click upload. The picture must be no more then 85 pixels by 85 pixels.
- Click submit
Hi. i get exactly the same thing too. also how do you add a signature?
When I try to upload pic and set as avatar I get:
•The selected file /tmp/tmp_1Ssk6I could not be uploaded, because the destination is not properly configured.
•Failed to upload the picture image; the pictures directory doesn't exist or is not writable.
Please, someone give us some pointers here!

Not sure why this isn't working – I'll get someone to look into it and see if we can get the avatars fixed.

When trying to upload my avatar, which is 80x80 pixels and only 2.41kb, I get this error message:
"The selected file /tmp/tmp_htUi0t could not be uploaded, because the destination is not properly configured.
Failed to upload the picture image; the pictures directory doesn't exist or is not writable."
What am I doing wrong?
