Healing for my dad please
Hi everyone,
My dad got some horrible news today, that the cancer by his ear, which we thought was gone, is back and he has to have yet another operation maybe as soon as next week.
As if this wasnt bad enough he's been told the cancers gone too far to be cured the op will just delay the inevitable.
My dad is nearly 92 and incredibly fit and energetic so this is very unfair. It started as skin cancer which could have been cured had his doctor not mistaken it for a skin infection and kept telling dad he was fine. But it was left so long that it's got much worse and now seems to be incurable. (dads since changed his doctor)
But I will keep hoping for the best. Doctors are not always right. Any healing for my dad or positive thoughts or anything really would be wonderful.
It's a tough time for us because as you know I'm having my own battle with breast cancer. So we've just got to carry on and cope with it, what else can we do?
Appologies that I keep asking for healing, I'm starting to feel a nuisance now!

Oh honey I am so very sorry to hear about your dad. I recall you being so relieved when you thought his ear was ok. It is the last thing you need with your own condition too my love. I have heard that using iodine on the site of the skin cancer can be very beneficial. I really hope that the doctors can contain the cancer and keep your dad as healthy as possible for as long as possible,.
You probably do anyway, but tell your dad everyday how much you love him and thank him for being your dad. Enjoy every minute you have with him and when his time comes it will be hard but you will know that your dad is in the arms of an angel.
We are all here for you, and you are more than welcome to pm me anytime, I know what you are going through and this time last year I was in exactly the same position with my dear dad.

Your kind words, love and healing really mean a lot.
Dad really is a fighter but looks quite beaten after that news which is awful. Yet he still managed to cook tea this evening for himself and my son. They love eating together.
Dad is really tough and hopefully will be able take on the challenge. I will be sending him as much healing as I can.

Im so sorry to hear this Seabee, I hope he responds well with the treatment he receives, He reminds me of my Granddad, always upbeat working away at something, and great sense of humour too.

I'm so worried about him because operation before last he came out with ecoli and a severe urinary infection and it took him months to recover. But the next operation to remove the lump from his ear he didn't catch anything and came out of hospital absolutely fine.
So I'm asking Archangel Raphael to please keep him bug free this time. I hope he hears.

Will keep everything crossed for him. My dad has his appt tomorrow to find out what impact the radiation has had. Will surround both both dads with healing, protection and love.

We took dad to the hospital today the journey takes about an hour and a half. He was ultra positive all the way and told us wonderful and entertaining stories about the war. At the hospital he jumped out of the car gave me a hug and marched straight in without looking back.
I haven't heard how the operation went yet he was told it would take about three hours. I hope he's ok.

I phoned the ward a while ago and the nurse said dad was awake and alert and fine. Bit worried that he hasn't phoned me but maybe (understandably) just doesn't feel like it.
I hope your dads appointment went well yesterday.

Dad did phone me at 11pm, he didn't realise it was late.
His operation lasted five and a half hours and he's got a long wound nearly as far as his collarbone. This morning he was up out of bed first thing, ate breakfast feeling fine and is now walking round the hospital corridors bored and wants to come home! He'll have to stay till they're happy with the wound.
I just hope the operation was a success.
