Learning Hypnotherapy
Hi there,
I am very interested in studying Hynotherapy and wondering if anyone has studied it and how they found it. I suppose I am a bit nervous about studying as although I would rate myself as quite smart, I haven't been to school or involved in studying for years. Was it difficult, is there much theory involved, as in, for exams do I have to memorise lots of stuff, be a genius OR is it study that also involves common sense.......
I am a Reiki Master, IET Master and Angel Card Reader and Teacher, so I know I can get cope with learning new stuff, but as it is quite expensive (in Ireland anyway), I don't want to commit myself timewise and moneywise before asking people who about it who have already studied same.
I would hope to use the Hypnotherapy for healing purposes along with my above practices and I am particularly interested in Past Life Regression. Is PLR part of the Hypnotherapy study or is this part of a completely different things altogether.

I was wanting to ask something... how and why past life experiences can effect us. But how do you let go of them?
I experienced a dream once, well I say a dream when i was a young woman. I was in a shallow dirt grave with my arms crossed over my chest. I was aware that there were people around me outside the grave and on top of me they placed a heavy oak door, like something you see in a castle and then placed blouders on the door.
I dont remember any panic or fear or pain, only an acceptance of what was happening. I still to this day can feel the texture of my clothes pressing against my hands as the door got heavy, and the smell of the soil. I hate the smell of soil to this day, makes me uneasy if that makes sense.
I was once told that I had been betrayed in a previous life and led to what I thought was a place of safety, however it was not....that feeeling is always with me. Wondered what you think?

Does anyone know how i can find a class for NLP courses?? I'd love to study this, along side doing a crystal course at college. I am a Reiki Master and Angel Reiki Master, and I'm a beauty therapist but always looking for new experiences, and learning new things.

Tonight I found thread on page 78 or 79 of the forum on past life regression. There were approx 70 replies posted. I did not have time to investigate this further but it might be worth a look.

I did my hypnotherapy diploma a couple of years ago and in with this was your master/practitioner NLP.
I know that there are places that specialise in past life regression training once you have your hypnotherapy diploma.
I too am more interested in the past life side of things but I am glad I did the hypnotherapy diploma rather than narrowing it to one specific thing as there is so much you can do e.g time line work.
It is a really useful tool not just to use for others but also for yourself.
If the universe is drawing you towards hypnotherapy then trust that you have the skills etc to handle it.

Hi there, I trade under www.chalicehypnotherapy.co.uk no its not hard to learn at all, its what you want to specialise in is the question, past life regression is just one road to take, log onto the main governing bodies for advice on training, GHR for a start.
You may also need to look at a dpl in NLP or a CBT course afterwards as you may find your client may have issues that are huge, but that aside, its a fun course, but you wont end up rich. Good luck
