Ravenstonz New Beginings
8 March, 2010 - 15:44
With the turning of the seasons beckoning welcoming back the goddess to the land after her long winters slumber and the suns golden rays finally beginning to penetrate the bitter cold I felt it was time for a change, time for a spiritual and emotional spring clean and get back to my roots.
This however is easier said than done as we all know when we become somewhat idle and stray from our given path. For me I think the task to get myself back on the well worn path is a journey in itself, a journey of spiritual development and the intoxicating pleasure of discovering the beauty of magick all over again, to fall in love with the old magicks once more as if they were something brand new and exciting, full of promise.
For me it started with my website, taking greater pride in making it a success and showing the world the beauty of the silver work creating new pages dedicated to Pagan jewellery created and designed lovingly by a witch for witches to wear and use the magicks in them strong. Created were spells bags for Luck & Abundance, Love & Romance, Divination and Angelic Communication hand in hand with handmade chakra kits, each gifted in handmade calico bags hand decorated with the intention to spread magick and power. I even branched out and created pages for Ravenstonz handmade brooch pins and bookmarks each with a pagan twist to them so the magick can follow you wherever you might be.
This great change and renewal was blessed by our Spirit & Destiny feature in the April issue. To be featured on the Retail Therapy page was quite an honour spreading the word about our eco-friendly gift ideas and handmade unique silver and crystal jewellery. The items selected, our handmade silver plated fairy earrings have now become quite popular encouraging new designs spreading out into using new metals such as copper and using new charms and talismans to create some really rather special pieces such as dragonfly and Man on the Moon earrings, Spiders web necklaces and my favourite, Green Men and Tree of Life pendants.
I hope that as the spring comes that along with the Snowdrops and Daffodils both I and the website grow, nourished by the endless possibilities for the future and what might be waiting over the horizon. Finding the path again is one of the most exciting things anyone can ever experience.
