I am new too! Diana Cooper and Doreen Virtue have both written excellent books and CD's to help with this, pick any that resonate with you. I have tried both with wonderful results. Failing that, just sitting quietly safe and secure, uninterupted and letting yourself go, then asking for your angels name should help. But really you do need to get hold of either Diana Cooper or Doreen Virtue's books as they are jam-packed with advice and meditations/messages etc to help and are well worth the spend!

Hi there, not chatted for ages have we.   I keep dipping in to keep up with things but been a bit busy with work, studies, life, etc....  

How's your little one?  Just been reading about the chickenpox - poor love.  You could try mixing 3 drops of bergamot with 3 drops of eucalyptus essential oil in about 50 mls of water and dab this on the blisters.  Both are antiseptic and help with the pain.

Alternatively, you can use a mix of Lavender & Tea-tree.  Both are good for chickenpox.

Lots of favourite chocolates, comics, toys, etc. also helps (lol)

On-line psychic awareness course - mmm - sounds like that might be a good idea. Don't have my own website and can't afford to set one up at the moment. I'd definitely consider the idea, but need to get through next few weeks first. I've been given my redundancy date now. I leave work on 20 March 09. I'm hoping (and praying) I get the job I've applied for (a) I really would like to work for that charity and (b) I can't possibly live on Job Seekers Allowance for long. Closing date for job applications is this Friday, so hopefully I should know something by end of next week. Once I know what I'm doing I can make plans. If I do get the job I could then afford to set up my own webpage, so please girls keep your fingers crossed for me (won't you?) I've asked Universe to help so done all I can now.

(Kirsty, hope you'd still come to our monthly group meetings if I set an online group up? Hi Girls,

Before I tell you about the angel, here's what led up to me finding it. My psychic awareness group met up on Saturday and we had a lovely time. I was so pleased Fiona was able to come, because it will be the last time we see her until she gets back from India. After our meeting all the girls left, except Fiona and Jayne. As Fiona won't be with the group now when we do ribbon reading session I asked if she'd like to try it out and she said she'd love to. Fiona and Jayne read each others ribbons and they both did really well. Jayne and I did Fiona a tarot reading each and then Fiona read playing cards for Jayne. Jayne reads playing cards so was interested to see how Fiona read them. By the time we'd finished, it was quite late so I invited Fiona to stay overnight at my cottage, she was happy to do this. I had to drive Jayne home. We went outside to get in my car at 11pm. When I walked up to the car I found something pinned to my windscreen. When I looked closer I found out it was an angel. The angel had been carefully pinned to my windscreen with one of the wiper blades. It looked like it had once been a Xmas tree angel, the head was missing but the dress was intact and so were the gold angel wings attached to to the dress. At first I thought Fiona might have put it there as a joke because she knows I love angels (she's got a fantastic sense of humour) but when I asked her when I got back, Fiona didn't have a clue what I was talking about. Janet and Kirsty had left the cottage via the back door earlier, but it was neither of them either, so I reckon it was definitely a sign from the angels! Most people get a white feather when they ask for a sign, I've got a rather grubby Xmas angel without a head, but I'm not complaining. An angel's an angel, no matter what state it's in. I'll take a photo of it and post it on my FB page at the weekend. Fiona very kindly bought me a Feng Shui frog, the frog has a small I-ching coin in its mouth and it's meant to attract wealth, success and prosperity into your home. It must work as I found a £20 note behind some books on my bookshelf. It must have dropped out of an envelope I put there for safekeeping when I was staying overnight at my daughter's. It's been there for months. All in all, it was a really great weekend, I also found some Serenity Runes and other psychic tools and books upstairs, that I'd forgotten I had, so I've added them to my collection of tools and books.

Jan - My car could definitely do with being blessed (or possibly blown up might be better solution(LOL). The PAS fluid started leaking again on Saturday so that was worrying as I can't afford to keep spending money on the car, now I'm facing redundancy. My mate Steve called in quite unexpectedly on Sunday and sorted the leak out. (I keep telling him, one day he'll be sainted for all the help he's given me with my cars - St Stephen Gilroy - Patron Saint of people with crap cars!!!

That was a fantastic sign!! I was given a sign, I believe, yesterday. I was in such a fantastic mood going into work and just outside the office doors as I was walking in I spied a card on the floor with the words Reiki on it. I picked it up and was reading it as I was walking in. It was an advert for someone in Cardiff offering Reiki services. But the best bit is ..... the name of the lady is Runa!!!!! Haven't decided yet whether to contact her or not. Have been thinking about having a Reiki session, but had already picked out someone closer to home. Lyn xx

That Reiki advert by Runa definitely sounds like a good omen. If she's as lovely as our Rowena, then I reckon you'll definitely have been given a sign. When do you start your new job? Bet your looking forward to leaving the old one.

Bet it's the scruffiest angel, anyone's ever seen (LOL) The more I think about the on-line course idea, the more I definitely want to do it. Might be a good idea if anyone who's interested in joining any on-line courses I might start would let me know what psychic/spiritual skills they already have/have not and what type of things they'd be interested in learning.  

In the past, I've usually taught either 2 day workshops or 6 x 2 hourly sessions.  During these sessions I cover subjects such as relaxation and meditation, Understanding and Practice of Spiritual Healing, psychometry, flower, ribbon, sand and dry tea-leaf reading, auragrams and dowsing.  I believe it's beneficial for students to learn how to use psychic tools, before they progress onto learning how to communicate with spirit.  Using psychic tools helps develop the psychic senses (ie psychometry and healing stimulate 'touch', auragrams and colours stimulate 'sight') and also helps students learn how to interpret symbols.  Spirit messages are often given in a symbolic manner.  I feel it's important that anyone who wants to work with spirit, first learns to recognise what does or doesn't 'feel' right.   Using psychic tools hones your intuitive skills (your gut feeling) so you learn to sense what's around you.

I'll get those off to you very shortly.  Also found a piece called 'Healing with Trees', which I'll send to you too becaise I know you love nature. 

Last night a girlfriend and I sat down and set up a forum called Spiritual Quest.  I'm hoping I'll be able to use it eventually for online psychic awareness courses.  It will have areas specifically for people to request Absent Healing thoughts and prayers for themselves or others and hopefully an area that contains positive affirmations and other spiritual quotes I often receive.   I think forum will also have a chatroom attached, but it was only set up last night, so please bear with us for a little while longer.   

I think people can also advertise on the forum too, so might be useful for something like Jackie's 'Soul Journeys' or for anyone who wants to advertise their Reiki or other therapies.   Should know more in next week or so as forum needs working on.   I'm just waiting to see what happens regarding the job I've applied for.  Bit in limbo at the moment, as I don't know what will happen after I'm made redundant on 20th March.  

One bit of good news I'd like to share with everybody is - I've managed to trade in my 'demon' Ford Ka and (hopefully) I'll be picking up a Ford Fiesta tomorrow (thank you God, my prayers have been answered!!!)  At least that's one problem got rid off, just my rewiring and redundancy to sort out now (LOL).

Thanks for the message about your friend's email whiterose.  I chose Wakefield rose because I live in Wakefield, West Yorkshire (not that far from Bradford) and I adore anything connected with roses (including the choccies (LOL) 

For many years, roses have always had a very special, spiritual significance for me.  when I bought my cottage 4 years ago,  I knew I was buying the right place when I was told by the previous owner,  he'd bought the cottage from Mr & Mrs Rose.   As soon as I moved in I named my home 'Rose Cottage'.  I love living here, it gives me a great deal of peace and happiness and I know spirit led me here.

My dad seems very settled at the moment, my brother visits him alot - did I mention I tried to find the home he is in (Belle Isle area)and got very lost, but I now know a lot about Belle Isle, I must of taken every wrong turning going ! I found lots of interesting places but not the home where my dad is placed.

I wish you lots of luck for the 20th - it may be a turning point for you.

I've been reading s&d mag for a while now. The way i grew up with my mum and other influential people has always made me scared of exploring my spirituality as she thinks i'm too powerful... whatever that means. She says when ever she s with me her feelings get too intense. I did start exploring differnt things a few years ago and found my magic symbol on the top shelf in a shop the day after i had finised a meditation and had instantly drawn it. I then got into a depression and a church group convinced me that what i was doing was evil and said i needed to be exercised which i didnt do but i did have all my books burnt by them. Its three years on from that now & I want to explore all things covered in s&d magazine especially healing wether it be crystals or angel cards but i dont want to do any harm and i dont know where to start. This probably sounds really random but i figured it was worth a shot.
Any advice would be gratefully recieved. Sorry if i'm a little odd.x

Sounds like you've had a really tough time even thinking about exploring your spirituality!  It's great that all that repression hasn't put you off though.  I don't think you can do any harm by learning more about crystals, angels or anything else that interests you - and if you start to use tools like angel cards or crystals with only the best of intentions, you shouldn't go too far wrong.  I would think carefully about how much of this you want to discuss with your mum or anyone else you think may disapprove - you can always talk to us lot til you find your feet.

Would it be OK if the group met first Saturday in April?  I know Eve and Julie will be away on 28th/29th as it's Julie's daughter's wedding that weekend.  We can always meet up again at the end of April, then go back to end of May.  I finish work next Friday 20th, but the good news is I've been short listed for the job with the charity.  I've got an interview with them next Tuesday at 11am.  Please keep your fingers crossed for me. 

I'd love to go to Ilkley MBS again, really enjoyed it last year when we all met up, but won't get there this month as there's too much going on.  Hopefully, if I'm working I'll be able to go to the one in Sept/Oct.  Haven't forgotten the awareness info I promised to send everyone, that's on my to do list.

Really pleased your dad's settling in OK at the new home.   If I had to find Belle Isle I'd be driving around for weeks getting lost.  

When I got home today I found a letter saying I've got an interview for that charity co-ordinator's job, next Tuesday 11am.  If I'm successful, it will be perfect timing as I could start the week after I finish my old job.  You can bring a huge cake to celebrate (LOL)  Will email you tomorrow about psychic awareness date.   Would like to move it to first Saturday in April if poss as Eve and Julie will be away.
