Hi danii

Eight months, oh that's tough.

I had a period that lasted three months and was eventually diagnosed with polycycstic ovaries.  But if you've been to the doctors and they can't find anything wrong, then i'd advice going to a herbalist.

There are lots of powerful herbs that could help to regulate you, a herbalist could make a mix of herbs that would suit you perfectly.  But I think they would ask first what medical advice you have had.

I hope you are taking an iron suppliment, Spartone is great, I take it myself.  It's just sachets of water from a spa. I take it in orange juice.

Also rasberry leaf tea is supposed to be helpful, three cups a day, it's quite nice I used to drink it a lot.

Well I'm sure everyone will give you lots of good advice, hopefully something will work soon!

Hi hellsbabyangel If you are

Hi hellsbabyangel

If you are on any form of contraceptive this could have something to do with it but im guessing they have already changed or looked into that??? Did they refer you to the hospital?

I can only imagine what you must be going through, big hugs and I hope you get to the bottom of this

is there a well woman clinic...

is there a well woman clinic you could go to? Most nhs hospitals or gp services or family planning clinics are at the same time. You dont need an appointment, you can just drop in to them. Check your hormone levels and iron count with a full cbc blood test. (also demand a smear test).  Look into the contreception you are using, as some can cause things like this.

Before looking at herbal or complimentary therapies, consult your gp/health practitioner at the well woman clinic to rule out other problems.

Fibroids is another problem

Fibroids is another problem which can cause constant bleeding, i really think you need to go back to the GP and insist they look into it further.

I agree....

you ought to ask very firmly to be referred to a gynaecologist.  No 20-yr-old should have to put up with this.

Wishing you well very soon,

Claudia

I had a very bad period last

I had a very bad period last month and the doctor gave me 2 types of pills, one was to reduce the blood flow and the other was to stop the bleeding so was hitting it at both angles. I would ask ur doctor for this but u also need to see a specialist as this doesnt sound right. Im having to have an ultra sound tomorrow cos Ive been in pain in my womb area since November and my period hasnt been right and ive lost weight. It took a while for the doc to take me seriously but I had to put my foot down when I went yesterday. Please put urs down too xxx

Hi Dannii, Oh how annoying

Hi Dannii,

Oh how annoying and uncomfortable that must be.  I would definitely get to your GP and get referred to have your ovaries, uterus and everything else in that region checked out. I would definitely get a smear test done as well. It could be to do with the contraceptive pill if you are on it as well.  It could be a whole host of things from fibroids to plain old stress but I would get it checked out to be on the safe side before you do anything else.

If there turns out to be no cause than I second taking herbs, they can be very affective like Seabee said at regulating your cycle.  I will send love and healing to you my love.

Storms - long time no see!!!  I'm sorry to hear that you are also still suffering and good for you getting the GP to take you seriously.  Is the pain still as bad or as it calmed down?  How much weight have you lost?  If you have had severe abdominal pain you wouldn't have felt like eating very much.  I will be thinking of you and will send healing to you too.

Love Jophiel xx.

Thanks Jophiel. The pain

Thanks Jophiel. The pain always seems to be there but am sort of getting used to it until it flares up and gets really bad again. My friend was the one who said id lost weight and I didnt think I had so weighed myself and id lost 8lb since last month!! The thing is ive still been eating and its been absolute rubbish like crisps and chocolate. Will hopefully have some answers later on xxx

Hi Dannii

my sympathies go out to you. It must be horrible for you so no wonder you are feeling down. I agree with the others that you need to get it checked out properly  and push for it if you have to . I will send you some healing.
