Worried
Hi All
I have couple of things on my mind right now, won't go into detail, but am worried all the time when my mind isn't busy ie when I'm at home and have time to think. Trouble sleeping. I am waiting for couple of things to be sorted one way or another and it's not going to help worrying but I can't help it, it's like I'm not allowing myself to relax. Am getting stressed and it's starting to affect me. I wondered if anyone can give any tips on how to handle this? I am finding it hard to meditate or calm down, my mind is always on these issues. I feel like my life has been superceded by this and I feel kind of scared. Any tips how to cope appreciated xxxx thank you
sorry to hear you're feeling stressed. I've been getting a bit like this too first over my driving test and then about actually driving lol! I know it sounds trivial but it scares the socks off me and I lie awake panicking about it - it is gradually getting easier thank goodness!
Anyhow, two things that have helped me are deep breathing exercises (as these help slow you down and relax, whereas anxiety speeds you up) and the Bach Flower remedy Mimulus, which is good for calming fears.
Hope you sleep better soon hon
Love Kirsty xx
Sorry to hear you are feeling like this, have you tried some aromtherapy oils like lavender and geranium, very calming, can add a few drops on to your pillow at night to help sleep or add a few drops on to a tissue and inhale when you are feeling anxious, i swear by it and also rescue remedy. Also can add lavender oil to a bath and have a good soak with some lit candles. If you finding it hard to meditate, listen to some soothing music and like Kirsty has said try deep breathing. Hope this helps , let us know how you get on, ((((((HUGS))))) love Gemini ;) xxx
after the first panic, I usually bundle it up in a big ball and physically toss it into the air saying,
"Okay God, this is too big for me to deal with so I'm sending it to you to sort out."
I have said this so many times over the years regarding our daughter - and it does seem to help as, not long after I've done it I get some sort of validation that I have been heard, and then I can be more peaceful.
Hope that helps - I also agree wholeheartedly with Rescue Remedy!
Love and hugs

Hello,
Have you considered Bach flower remedies? I am a Bach Foundation Registered Practitioner and not surprisingly, highly recommend them.
The following site gives lot's of information about them http://www.bachcentre.com/
The remedies are wonderful for helping us to deal with emotional issues and concerns. If I can be of any help, just ask via this thread and I'll do all I can :)

Hi All
Grateful for the tips and advice. This morning I got up and read the Reiki precepts which did help calm me and for me to focus - the just for today first line does it for me as you give up your anxieties but it's ok as can come back to them tomorrow, but if you do that every day.....then your worries shouldn't concern you until you actually have to face them ie when something happens and hopefully then you are calmer to deal with it. I also do the Reiki meditations but just lately haven't been able to relax and focus, been so uptight, heart beating fast and not sleeping, realised got to stop and do something to calm myself.
Gemini lavender that has helped me before so ta for the reminder. Never tried Geranium but love the flowers so will give that a go.
Never really tried Bach (well did years ago but not for ages) so will revisit that. Tarot Lady will let you know if I need any help and thanks for the link.
Maitch you are right symbolically throwing your troubles away does help, I usually put them in a black box with a bow on it and send them away. Just not been thinking straight to deal with things lately.
Kirsty hon how is driving going? Do you have a car, I still don't but am looking. I had first plus pass course today and did motorways for first time, scary but did ok I think. Kept looking to indicate and sort of almost drifting into lane was looking in!!! I guess it's all practice, they are so fast and different to dual carriageways, need to move quick into other lanes etc don't you and some drivers just speed!! Was funny tho with instructor again (the bossy one) and she still brake me as she
can't stop herself, I go to brakes and she is on it!! I tell her to shut up now and she laughs she says it is good I have confidence but it still takes time doesn't it and confidence is always my biggest barrier. Good luck with your driving too.
Alano sorry you are stressed too, perhaps try some of the things said on here .
I think it helps to get things into perspective which I've really struggled with lately. This forum does help as can post and get help and advice, it's so good to be able to do that. I have my friends and family but sometimes they are busty with other things and I don't want to burden them with my issues, prob silly as they would listen but you know sometimes I hold onto things a little too much and hurt myself.
Thanks again all xxx
Love & light, isn't this life hard at times!!
I too at the moment have terrible worries. This worked for me, dare I say to my surprise, because although one believes, there is always that element of doubt that creeps in. Did not really know what to do, but I asked for the Angels of calm, peace and love to come to me and surround me and help me get through this awful patch. After I had asked this it happened, even though I have tremendous worries at this time, I really felt calm. Every time I feel the intense worry I ask the Angels again to come to me, and it has worked for me. The Angels are there for us and we only have to ask. Try it and give me feedback.

Your instructor sounds just like mine lol! She can't help herself! I need to do my pass plus too. I've finally mastered parking going forward!! One parking spcae not two lol!! Now I need to figure out reversing in....
Anyhow, I'd suggest trying the breathing exercises to help slow down your pulse etc and calm you down. Distraction might help too - so if you find yourself lying awake worrying about something try thinking about something else completely eg saying the alphabet backwards, remembering all the words to your fave Abba song, thinking of a bird, animal and flower for each letter of the alphabet. I like to plan how I'd spend a lottery win!! Anything to break your negative thought patterns and focus your mind elsewhere - you may find you can learn to stop by just saying "NO!" as soon as a negative thought pops up. Once you're calmer and have your mind back focussed on other things, you may find you can use your mediation etc more easily. The Bach Flower remedies are good too.
Good luck with this - and Alano, hopefully some of these ideas may work for you too. xx
Love Kirsty xx
There is some really good advice to follow from everyone.
I too suffered from panic attacks, heart racing, not sleeping etc and tried the methods above, which really helped. For the insomnia I find putting a white howlite crystal under my pillow helps, had the longest sleep for a long time (only 3 hours but still better than the usual 2 I get) Lol
Glad your driving is going well Kirsty & Kazzie.
Love & Warmth
Katxx
